Little Help Please...

I am doing my best to juice up my Facebook page & in doing so I added a couple of new tabs.
I added the FREEBIE tab that so many people already have (I know, I'm always late to the party) & I also added a Pinterest tab.
I THINK that I linked up the freebie the right way. It just links to a little All About Me Page.
Can someone go & check out the page to see if both of the links take you to where they are supposed to???
Please?

In other news...I am doing this today...

I am taking my crazy teens with me & my 3 year old...should be interesting! Gotta love FREE summer bowling!
Here's hoping I don't break a hip! Haha..I'm not that old, am I??

Bloglovin Switcheroo

Google reader is going Bye-Bye...sad face
PLEASE follow me with Bloglovin & you will not miss a beat! :)
Click the link above & you will be all set!
See ya there!!

Hi!!

Hi everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posting lately!

I am trying to get some summer vacation in since I only have a
4 WEEK SUMMER BREAK...AAAHHHHH!

AND~ I am trying to wrap my head around teaching first grade next year & I am a little OVERWHELMED!!

Anywho, last year (late in the year) I started having my kinders work with writing journals. I made these little writing journals & wrote about them in this post. I did like to use them with my kinders, but I don't think that I could've used them until later in the year when they are able to read independently.
Soooo, it dawned on me that they would be perfect for first graders that are able to read simple sentences.
I made a set for August & will make sets for each month. They are in the same format as my math journals because that really works well for my kiddos!
Anyway~ Here they are...
Click the pic to see them in my store. I am putting them on sale for $1.50 until Friday or until I remember that they are on sale & I put them back at their regular price! :)

All of the prompts are August themed and, as you can see, are short & pretty easy to read.
Let me know what you think...
Would these be good for first graders??

I'm gonna give some away today.
Check my FB page to get yours...
You can find my FB page link over on the right side bar.

Another One Done! & I have TONS of Questions!

Yippie!
Today was my last workday & my summer has officially begun!

Woo Hoo!!
I spent the whole day moving all my junk stuff into my new FIRST GRADE classroom!
I am so excited to be looping with my cuties from this year.

Here is the question that I have for you...can anyone point me to some good back to school for FIRST GRADE packets for my new adventure? I was going to make some stuff, but I have no idea of where to even begin. So, I am just going to by some stuff to get me started. Please leave me a comment if you know of some good units/packets/etc that I can check on on TpT or TN to start my year off. Remember that I am in a year-round school so I will be back in there in 4 weeks!!

Also- should I change my blog name?
What should I change it to?
How do I change it without losing my blog-world friends?
Should I just leave it alone & quit being psycho?

Clipart Challenge!

Several fabulous clipartists and bloggers have come together for an amazing Clipart Challenge hosted by Primary Possibilities!  Each blogger is featuring a clipartist and a product they made using that artist's images!  This is a great way to discover new clipart creators for your summer creations.   So keep reading and following the linky at the bottom to head on to the next post!  You may even pick up some freebies along the way!

I had the EXTREME pleasure of using the clipart from

I had a very hard time choosing the packet that I would use. She has soooo many cute things there! Click her logo to check her out...don't do it now!
Wait until the end of the post...geez!

Here is the freebie that I made using her clipart. I just couldn't resist & made 2 freebies for you!
You can thank me later..ha!
(I'm feeling a little snarky today)!
This freebie is a picture to word matching game. It includes a recording sheet & would be great for a pocket chart activity.

I know that a lot of you like the math journals, so I made a little baseball themed mini packet! Yay!

I hope that you enjoy the freebies & that you will pop over to Kady's TpT store & follow her so that you don't miss out on her fabulous creations!!

Thank you, Kady for letting me use your fantastic clipart!!

Testing 1-2-3

We are in full blown testing mode this week in third thru fifth grades.
For kindergarten that means that we are locked away in kinderjail
  ALL DAY!!

AHHHHH!

We can only leave our rooms for lunch.
You wanna talk about pulling your hair out, drinking a tall, cold one after school, about to go nutso....do I need to go on?!?
 We are all stir crazy!!!
I know that we are the only school in the whole wide world that goes into this CRAZY lockdown mode during testing, right!?!

Well, at my school, we are assigned a buddy testing class.  We are just supposed to give them positive vibes & let them know that we are supporting them. Sooooo....we have been giving them a little treat each day.

Here is the pre-test goodie! :)

Today was the reading portion of the test & they got these yummers from us.
The poem says, "You read so well, You're gushing with knowledge. Forget 4th grade, you're heading to college!!"
Haha!

This is tomorrow's treat that is on their desks & waiting for them as they come into the class in the morning!

I have one for the end of testing, too. I forgot to take the pic, but will do it tomorrow & post it for ya!

Happy Hump Day!!
